Just a Share :) By Deejay Dexter
Shalom again!
But anyway, this is just a sharing from me. I came across an interested post from a saudara seiman in an FB group of Catholic students. Shall I reveal the name? Nah...
I personally find the post interesting. But, I don't know if its appropriate for me to share it out in this blog... But here goes!
"Shallom semua.... sy ada mau kongsikn cket pasal
"PERATURAN RINGKAS UNTUK BERPASANGAN" ..
memandangkan ramai antara kita bercinta-cinta sudah, kita jgn lupa bhwa cinta Tuhan tu kekal ar.. he he he..^_^
1. Kalau belum bersedia, jangan mula berpasangan.
2. Jangan berpasangan hanya untuk mendapatkan pengalaman.
3. Siap-sediakan diri anda sebelum mencintai orang lain.
4. Bina persahabatan dahulu.
5. Carilah nasihat daripada yang lebih dewasa imannya dan sejantina.
6. Jangan terlalu sering bersama.(ckuplah 3-4x seminggu)
7. Jaga jarak anda.
8. Biarlah hubungan berlanjutan sekurang-kurangnya 2 tahun atau lebih..
"Jangan menuruti segenap keinginanmu, melainkan jauhkanlah dirimu dari segala nafsumu" --> Sirakh 18:30
God bless you all..
Dari peraturan2 ini, kita boleh ambil sedikit panduan dari alkitab.,,
1. "Untuk segala sesuatu ada masanya, untuk apa pun di bawah langit, ada waktunya".--> Pengkotbah 3:1
2. "Jangan menuruti segenap keinginanmu, melainkan jauhkanlah dirimu dari segala nafsumu"--> Sirakh 18:30
3. "Orang yg tdak beristeri memusatkan perhatiannya pada perkara Tuhan, bagaimana Tuhan berkenan kepadanya"--> 1 Korintus 7:32
4. "Janganlah kamu merupakan pasangan yg tidak seimbang dengan orang2 yg tidak percaya. Sebab persamaan apakah yang terdapat antara kebenaran dan kedurhakaan? Atau bagaimanakah terang dapat bersatu dengan gelap?"--> 2 Korintus 6:14
5. Orang yg sabar bertahan sampai pada waktu yang tepat, kemudiaan akan terbit sukacita baginya--> Sirakh 1:23"
Can't understand Malay well? Then, let me translate the important parts.
SIMPLE RULES IN COUPLING
1. If you're not ready yet, then don't start.
2. Don't just couple for the sake of experience.
3. Prepare yourself before loving someone else
4. Build up the friendship first.
5. Seek advise from someone with a more mature faith and of same gender
6. Don't stay together all the time (enough with 3- 4 times a week)
7. Mind your distance.
8. Let the relationship lasted for 2 years or more...
"Do not let your passions be your guide, but keep your desires in check." Sirach 18:30
"There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens." Ecclesiastes 3:1
"I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs —how he can please the Lord." 1 Corinthians 7:32
"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14
"Until the right time, the patient remain calm, then cheerfulness comes back to them." Sirach 1:23
~~|^_^|~~
Being a #foreveralone kinda guy, yes I don't have much experience about this 'couple' thing... But I do agree 100% about each and every peraturan ringkas advised by this person...
But, like people say... "Jodoh tak ke mana..." muahahahahahahahahahaha! Patience! The one will sure come, because there're quotes saying...
"Don't worry if you're single, God is looking at you right now, saying, "I'm saving this one for someone special."
"Being single doesn't mean no one wants you; it means God is still busy writing your love story."
...and so I choose to believe it! Haha!
I also remembered that there was one time during the Friday Gathering... that we discussed about vocation. God always have plans for us. So, all we need to do is listen. That's when I also get to know that even being single or married can be our vocation as well! We just need to put God first in every single thing that we did in our lives.
We all are bound with decisions. But once we put God first in everything, I'm sure you will realize that you had done the right thing. If what you choose turns out wrong, then yes, that is also God's doing. But never blame Him! Never EVER blame Him for anything!
God puts us in the hardest situation to make us stronger! Hence, He made us think more mature and let us actually grow up. Strong. Thus, instead of blaming, why not thank Him, for the experience have made your eyes open up, resist and move on.
...okay, ran out of topic a little there. But hey, the point is, always put God first in everything that we do, and listen to Him in choosing every single decisions we faced. And that include being in a relationship.

Opening the door to Faith
Shalom! CUS USM had organized the CUS Camp at 5th - 7th of April 2013. The CUS Camp is held at the House of St. Andrew at the Church of the Assumption, Penang. With the aim to increase our inner faith in Christ, each day we have specific theme in trying to open our door to faith.
5th April 2013: "I Believe"
6th April 2013: "Walk With ME Today"
7th April 2013: "Got Faith? Be A Light."
Alas, perhaps it was written by God Himself, the van that was supposed to be our medium of transportation to St. Andrew's House was not available. Thus, we went there by public bus, perhaps following in our Holy Father Pope Francis who uses public transport, depicting humility. With His blessing, we are able to safely arrive at St. Andrew's House. After preparing ourselves and doing a Praise and Worship (PnW) session, we begin with a movie screening. Father Dominic came to provide the DVD as well as some snacks for us. For that, we deeply appreciate and thankful for his assistance. The movie that we watched was...

| "The Way" |
It was a really moving and inspiring movie that shows how people go for the traditional pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago or the Way of St. James. Truly meaningful for us who desires to seek our inner faith.
The next day, its all about walking. All participants are divided into four groups; RMB, Aa~, Lenlian, and Low. We had group discussion on "What makes one distant him / herself from the church?", had a talk session by Bro. Kevin Eruthayanathan on Faith, outdoor activity or Explorace CUS and a Cultural Night show. Then, we had 5 friends visiting from UMP, led by Costello.
On Sunday, we served the morning mass at the Church of the Assumption in choir. Then, we had a sharing and reflection on the camp. It is very good to know that all participants do not regret on joining and each have learned something from the camp. Hopefully all those lesson they had learned could uplift their inner faith.
CUS USM would like to deeply thank Father Dominic and Brother Kevin for all the helps and supports they have given us. We are truly blessed by all the assistance.
